Places

Rengetsu was an avid traveller. She composed poems all over Kyoto, gathered clay and took retreats in neighboring Shiga prefecture, made pilgrimages all over southwestern Japan and expressed an interest in traveling to Mount Fuji. She also mentions numerous mythical places in her poems. We plan to list each place with a short history and a photo-graph. This cannot be completed until all her poems have been translated, a project we expect to complete by mid-2013. Here are some of the places we will include:
